Permaculture Design Workshop
at Mass Audubon's Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary
March 28, 2015 1:30-3:30pm
Gardening and farming are accessible ways to connect with nature. When done in a thoughtful way, gardening can provide habitat for desired species, decrease fuel costs associated with food, and decrease pesticide use. Join us to become more self-sustaining and aware of the natural world right in your backyard or house!
What steps can you make towards creating a self-sustaining garden? How can you grow a garden that supplements the food you buy in a store? How does permaculture intersect with eco-management? Join us to discuss these questions and the intersection of agriculture and conservation with Wellfleet Bay's Matt Darcy, a certified Permaculture Designer. After we have discussed these principles, we'll have a chance to put them into practice by making our own designs.
Saturday, March 28, 1:30-3:30 pm
$14 M/$16 NM
