Where the Land Meets the Sea Working to Restore and Maintain the Health of
the Buzzards Bay Watershed

The New Bedford Whaling Museum and Buzzards Bay Coalition

this three-part, public lecture series intended to inform and create
discussion among those who live within or near the Buzzards Bay Watershed.

The Wednesday evening lecture series featuring presentations by
environmentalists kicks-off at the Whaling Museum on *Wednesday, March 25*.
Each evening begins with a 6 p.m. reception, followed by a 6:30 p.m.
lecture and discussion.

   - Technologies for removing the Harbor’s contaminated sediments
   - *Jeff Stieb,* *Port Director, New Bedford Harbor Development
   Commission* - Restoring the Harbor’s water quality, specifically the
   removal of oil introduced by “mystery spills” from ships
   - *Mark Rasmussen*, *President, Buzzards Bay Coalition* - New measures
   to treat and dispose of sewage entering the Harbor
