BREWSTER, MA ­The Cape Cod Museum of Natural 
History in Brewster presents Drawing Forms in 
Nature and Painting Forms in Nature with artist and educator, Leslie Kramer,
July and August sessions.

Session I: Age 16-Adult ~ Drawing Forms in Nature 
– July 16 & 17th 9:30am – 12pm
Students will develop their drawing and 
observation skills by studying structures and 
growth patterns in nature, such as branching, 
radial symmetry and the spiral. On day one we 
will study close-ups of nature forms, and draw 
objects from the Museum’s exhibits.  Day two will 
be spent outdoors (weather permitting), working 
from larger aspects of the landscape. No previous 
art experience is required. Daily demonstration 
and critique. Materials included in cost: drawing 
paper, charcoal, pencil, construction paper.

Session II: Age 16-Adult ~ Painting Forms in 
Nature – August 25 & 26th 9:30am – 12pm
Students will develop skills in water-based 
painting by observing patterns and structures in 
nature. We will combine indoor studies and 
outdoor painting sessions to discover patterns in 
the natural landscape.  No previous art 
experience required. Watercolor paper and paint 
provided. Each day begins with a demonstration and ends with a critique.

$75 per person per 2 day  session. Limited to 10 
students / Minimum of 6 to run the class.
