The Cambridge Science Festival’s
Explore Spacetime!


BREWSTER, MA ­The Cape Cod Museum of Natural 
History in Brewster presents The Cambridge 
Science Festival’s Explore Spacetime 
demonstration with Peg LeGender, Ed.D, and 
Coordinator of the Cambridge Science Festival’s 
popular Science on the Street Festival Thursday, 
July 2nd at 1:30pm and Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 12:30pm.

This interactive spacetime model will demonstrate 
how Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity 
explains gravity as the curvature of spacetime. 
See how curved spacetime explains how planets and 
moons orbit and why light curves.

You will also examine a variety of Hubble Space 
Telescope images of gravitational lenses to see 
examples of the curvature of spacetime, and use 
magnifying lenses and LEDs to curve light.
