Over 1,200 sea turtles came through Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary's doors this stranding season, nearly three times the previous record year. The WBWS nature center, the staging location for stranded sea turtles on Cape Cod before they are sent to rehabilitation facilities around the United States, was converted this year into a makeshift turtle hospital to accommodate the deluge of turtles. Join us at Wellfleet Bay as we begin to unravel the complexities of this event and the factors that may have led to this historic year.

Chequesset Chocolate<http://www.chequessettchocolate.com/> of North Truro will be onsite from 12:30-3:00pm selling chocolate turtles, with part of the proceeds benefitting the sea turtle fund at Wellfleet Bay.

Talk turtles and enjoy a late-Valentine's Day snack with us!

Please reserve your spot by pre-registering here<http://www.massaudubon.org/get-outdoors/program-catalog#program:program_code=37904> or by calling 508-349-2615.
