at the Mill No. 2 (251 Forge Rd, Westport, MA)

Mill No. 2, now owned by Steel Dog, was built in 1872 on the site of an earlier 
water powered mill. Tony Connors, president of the Westport Historical Society, 
will provide an overview
of the development of the Westport Manufacturing Company.
A walk around Forge Pond Conservation area, guided by
Jesse Ferreira, WLCT's Stewardship Manager, will follow this program. As space is
limited, please, pre-register in order to ensure that you have a seat! Suggested
 donation $5.

Since its founding in 1972, the Westport Land Conservation Trust has  assisted landowners
in protecting more than 3,988 acres in Westport,  Massachusetts. WLCT is a private
non-governmental organization dedicated  to local land conservation on behalf of
 the Westport community. The  organization accepts gifts of land and conservation
restrictions on  land, and assists farm owners in preserving farmland with agricultural
 preservation restrictions.
