TOWN OF FALMOUTH

LITTLE POND SHELLFISH DEMONSTRATION PROJECT MANAGER    

TEMPORARY POSITION - $20/HR

 

The Town of Falmouth is currently accepting applications for the following temporary position:

 

Project Manager: In support of the towns Little Pond Shellfish Demonstration Project, responsible for supervising the construction, mobilization, maintenance & demobilization of equipment to be used in the project; organizes volunteers, performs propagation project monitoring and surveys as required; broadcasts animals into wild fisheries after appropriate growth; bi-weekly data collection & report writing; quantifies shellfish growth, size and quantities at end of season; processes shellfish tests as required by DMF. Works under the direction of the Shellfish Technician. Two years of experience in shellfish propagation, aquaculture, marine aquatic husbandry, HS Diploma, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have high degree of independent initiative. Work hours vary: some weekend and holiday work required. This is a 40 hr./wk. assignment for the period of April, 2014 through November, 2014.
