  Oaks are Tim Boland's area of expertise and study.  He sees oaks as 
a keystone species in terms of susceptibility to climate stress, 
insects and pathogens. Tim's presentation on native oaks & oak 
diversity covers the global distribution of oaks, North American 
distribution, and specific species and hybrids on Martha's Vineyard. 
Also, with the Cynipid wasps' impact on oaks the presentation will be 
of interest to the wide ranging public.
