Hi All,

Do you ever wonder how researchers figure out where birds go and how they get there? Find out at our next talk in the series: Making Waves in Coastal Conservation

What: A presentation by Michelle Avis. She has been using radio-telemetry to track the flight paths of shorebirds to help safely place wind turbines. She will tell us about her adventures working with piping plovers in Cape Cod and update us as to how this innovative, new technology is used regionally and nationally to understand the movements of a variety of bird species to help in their conservation.

When: Wednesday, June 25 from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Where: 204 Long Pond Road, Plymouth (Southeastern MA Pine Barrens Alliance Community Conservation Center)
