Becoming an Outdoors Family Campout is designed specifically for families who haven't been camping and would like to give it a try. This is a wonderful opportunity for families to spend time together in the great outdoors on a fun-filled overnight camping experience. Activities include campsite set up, building and putting out campfires, open fire cooking, and fishing for beginners. A traditional evening campfire, story teller, and a live animal program are also planned.

This campout is a joint effort between the Department of Conservation and Recreation's Learn To Camp Program and Mass Wildlife's BOW Program. The campout will be held Saturday, July 26 through Sunday, July 27 at Myles Standish State Forest in Plymouth/Carver.
