*Mass Bays Program Announces RFR for 2014 Research and Planning Grants*

The Massachusetts Bays National Estuary Program is seeking proposals for
the 2014 Research and Planning Grant Program.  Eligible projects include
research and planning initiatives that advance coastal restoration and
protection priorities of the Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan
for the Mass Bays Program.  A total of up to $100,000 is available for
estuarine protection and restoration initiatives located within the five
regions and 50 coastal communities in the Mass Bays Program planning area
which extends from Provincetown to the state border with New Hampshire.  The
five regions include Cape Cod, South Shore, Boston Harbor, Salem Sound and
Upper North Shore.  The Cape Cod region includes 11 communities which
border Cape Cod Bay (Provincetown, Truro, Wellfleet, Eastham, Orleans,
Brewster, Dennis, Yarmouth, Barnstable, Sandwich and Bourne).



Up to $20,000 may be requested for each project and a minimum of 25 percent
match of the total project cost (cash or in-kind) must be provided.  All
projects must be completed by December 31, 2014.  Applications are due by
