For years naturalist Peter Fifield has spent time exploring and photographing Quincy's coast. His favorite spot is Gull Point. On this tour we will learn what makes this place so enchanting as we watch the the sun set followed by the full moon rise around 8:30 p.m. near the longest day of the year. Meet at the entrance to the boardwalk by the Germantown fire station, 140 Doane Street. Take Palmer Street past Snug Harbor School and the Germantown Neighborhood Center. Proceed 3/4 around the rotary to the unmarked street (Yardarm Lane), the last right before you get back to Palmer Street. Take Yardarm Lane to the end, turn right on Quarterdeck. At the end of Quarterdeck, turn right on to Doane Street and park in lot across from fire station. IT MAY BE BUGGY. BRING INSECT REPELLENT AND WEAR LONG SLEEVE SHIRTS AND PANTS AND A HAT. For more information, please call 617/472-0799.
