Reserve Visitor Center
In 2009, Vineyard wildlife biologists Luanne Johnson and Liz Baldwin began a coastal river otter mapping and monitoring project on Martha's Vineyard and the Elizabeth Islands in collaboration with Chris Neill (MBL Ecosystems Center) and Stephen DeStefano (USGS-BRD/UMASS Co-op Unit)
They founded BiodiversityWorks in 2011 and will be expanding this work to Falmouth through this new non-profit. Liz will be sharing what they have learned about the behavior and diet of coastal river otters as well as many photos and videos from her master's thesis camera study. Come and learn about these charismatic mammals and how you can help them.
Reasonable accommodations are available upon request.
Co-sponsored by the Friends of Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge. Suggested $5 donation to Friends Group.
