Last weekend our Educator, Deirdre Detjens, discovered a Diamondback Terrapin mom laying her eggs on Sandy Neck. Her excitement was immeasurable! Explore Sandy Neck with us every Monday morning.

Take A Walk On The Wild Side of Sandy Neck!

Mondays 9 am - 11 am from June 10th to September 9th

Every day is different at Sandy Neck. Our guide will lead you along a marsh trail, dunes and beach, where you may encounter coyote tracks, birds of prey and shorebirds, as well as a rare glimpse of a Diamondback Terrapin. Each week brings a new adventure and ever-changing wildlife.

Meet at Sandy Neck Ranger Station - Sandy Neck Road off Route 6A
$6 for members, $8 for non-members  ($4 and $6 for kids)

Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary is located on the north side of Rt 6a in Barnstable.  Trails are open daily dawn to dusk.  Sanctuary admission is free for members; $4 adults, $3 children for non-members. Call (508) 362-7475 for information.
