Three Bays Preservation, a small environmental non-profit in Osterville,
Cape Cod, Massachusetts has openings for the following summer position:

 

Summer Outdoor Ranger:

 

We are a small environmental non-profit group who owns a small barrier beach
island which is a major nesting spot for endangered shorebirds. We seek
individuals who would be responsible for the following:
Daily monitoring of the island
Clean-up and maintenance of the island
Assisting other organizations with bird counts and control of human
interactions and animal control
Water quality monitoring and invasive aquatic species monitoring
Assisting with fund-raising
Assisting with office tasks and outdoor programs

Requirements:
Candidates must be able to operate a small outboard motor boat as it's the
only way to access the island.
Workday consists of 10:00 am-5:00 pm
Job begins in mid-May and ends mid-August
Working weekends is required as it's the busiest time on the island
Ability to work with and interact with the public is essential.
CPR and safe boating course is required. (If not already certified, we will
provide it for you)

 

The salary is $10-$12 per hour depending on experience and amount of
responsibility you are willing to undertake.
