Nauset Community Education is offering a course *TRACKING CAPE COD'S
WILDLIFE.* Here is the information:
*WS-3 Tracking Cape Cod’s Wildlife

*Field Trips: Sat.& Sun. 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. 1/26, 1/27/13*
* Sat.& Sun. 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. 2/23, 2/24/13*
* Sat. 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. 5/18/13*
Learn how to identify and track native wildlife species on Cape Cod. The
focus will be on the major families of mammals like carnivores such as red
fox, eastern coyote, river otter and mink. Small mammals such as meadow
voles and shrews which play an important ecological role will be studied. The
Cape’s role as a significant stop-over for migrating bird species will be
discussed. Field trips will entail some off-trail hiking, learning the art
of observation in order to identify the track and sign of species
associated with different Cape habitats from salt marsh to heathlands. *Fee:
$125*
