MassParks joins National First Day Hike Initiative involving all 50 State Park Systems

Waquoit Bay Reserve
Beside the Bay Hike
January 1, 2014, 1:00 p.m.

Join community members for a tour around the grounds and along the shore of this historic estate as we ring in the first day of the New Year at Waquoit Bay. Take in the panoramic views over the bay to South Cape Beach and Martha's Vineyard. Look for winter ducks, loons and wild turkeys along the route.  After the easy 1 mile hike we'll warm up in the visitor center and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa.

Be prepared for cold weather: dress in layers and wear winter boots. Dogs are welcome on leash.
Waquoit Bay Reserve is located at 131 Waquoit Highway, (Route 28). Meet at the visitor center.
