Volunteer opportunity at the Center for Coastal Studies, Provincetown, MA.

Volunteers are needed at the Center for Coastal Studies' outreach and
education booth on MacMillan Pier in Provincetown, MA, during both summer
AND fall.
This is a great way to get to know the Center AND work on your tan ...
Whale enthusiasts needed for three to four hours shifts any day of the week
between 8:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. You must enjoy working with the public,
becoming familiar with our various research projects, and love being
outdoors several hours at a time in summer sun and breeze. A penchant for
cracking jokes and a passion for Cape Cod Bay, its creatures, and the sea
around us are helpful traits, though not required. (They will be
acquired!) Volunteers should be at least 18 years old. High school
students welcome if they meet age requirement and demonstrate maturity.
Please contact Beth Larson at elarson at coastalstudies.org with interest or
questions. Thank you.

"Harmony with land is like harmony with a friend; you cannot cherish his
right hand and chop off his left." Aldo Leopold

"As we discuss these issues, let each of us do so with a good dose of
humility. Rather than pointing fingers or assigning blame, let's use this
occasion to expand our moral imaginations, to listen to each other more
carefully, to sharpen our instincts for empathy and remind ourselves of all
the ways that our hopes and dreams are bound together." President Obama

"Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some
blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a
spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense." Emerson
