Seaweed Untangled: Discovering Ocean Plants
Friday, August 9, 9:30 a.m. - Noon
Join author and naturalist Gil Newton for an indoor-outdoor exploration of the diverse marine algae found along our coastline. We will learn to identify different forms of seaweed, and understand their life cycles and ecological relationships with other marine life. We'll begin with a short introduction in the classroom, then walk down to the sanctuary beach for an exploration of the shore at low tide.
