Seals: Making a Comeback 

with Jesse Mechling, Marine education director at the Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies 



Jesse Mechling, Marine education director at the Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies will speak about the resurgence of seals on the Cape. Come learn about the natural history of these marine mammals, where they came from, what we are learning about them, and what the future holds. 



Jesse has over a decade working in education, formal and informal, interpretation, and marine policy. Jesse received his BA from Colby College in Maine, has a Masters Degree in marine affairs from the University of Rhode Island and was a John A. Knauss Marine Policy fellow in NOAA's Ecosystem Goal Team. As PCCS marine education director, Jesse collaborates with the Cape Cod National Seashore leading weekly seal walks in the summer at High Head and holding weekly talks on the marine environment at the Province Lands Visitor Center. He currently lives in Eastham with his wife and young son.
