[SEMCO] Wildlife Talk....Coastal Refuges: A place for People and Wildlife

The Friends of Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge and the Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (WBNERR)"Wild about Wildlife" April talk will be about the Cape and Islands Coastal Refuges with Susan J. Russo from the US Fish and Wildlife Service. It will begin at 2pm on Saturday the 20th at WBNERR's  Visitor Center.

 Did you know that we have four national wildlife refuges on the Cape and Islands?  Discover these amazing properties and enjoy the beauty of the landscapes and incredible wildlife that depends on them for survival.  Susan J. Russo, US Fish & Wildlife Service's Visitor Services Manager, will discuss the majestic lands she helps care for and ways in which she engages the public to connect with their natural world.  Join us and learn how humans play a role in ensuring these unique places continue to thrive in an ever challenging world.

Meet at Reserve Visitor Center, 149 Waquoit Highway (Rt. 28), Waquoit, MA.  Co-sponsored by the Friends of Mashpee National Wildlife Refuge. For all ages; $5 donation to Friends Group. For information, call (508) 457-0495.
