Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies Winter Lecture Series

**Leatherback Turtles - Tagging along with a Leatherback in Cape Cod Waters
and Beyond**

Wednesday, April 24 at 7 pm
Napi's Restaurant, 7 Freeman Street, Provincetown

Presented by Kara Dodge, Large Pelagics Research Center, University of
Massachusetts and Scott Landry, Director, Marine Animal Entanglement
Response at PCCS.

Kara will discuss her research to characterize leatherback habitat use on
the northeast US shelf and identify important feeding areas in this region.
She will share results of seven years of satellite tagging leatherback
turtles in Nantucket Sound.

Kara and Scott will also describe collaborative efforts with Provincetown
Center for Coastal Studies and the New England Aquarium to conduct health
evaluations in order to better understand their baseline health,
physiology, and pathology of leatherbacks off Massachusetts.

Free, all welcome!

Participants are encouraged to arrive between 5 and 6 pm to enjoy Napi's
special early bird dinner.
