Red, White and Bluefin
in the Barn at the Hook offices

Bluefin tuna is one of the most prized fish in the sea, but there is much debate
 about how it is doing and how it is managed. Did you know that New England fishermen
use artisanal harpoon and traditional rod-and-reel gear to bring in one fish at 
a time? Did you know that U.S. fishermen targeting bluefin rarely exceed their annual
catch limits--in fact, they have done so only twice since 1996?

Commercial fishermen Doug Feeney from Chatham and Alex Friedman from Martha's Vineyard
will tell you about these highly migratory fish and how they are caught sustainably
off our shores. Come to listen and learn; leave empowered to make your own decisions.
