Invites Public Employees to Shoreline Change Workshops

The Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management (CZM) invites local officials as well as state and federal agency staff to attend shoreline change workshops in the five coastal regions between September 20 and October 4. Through collaboration with the US Geological Survey, CZM is releasing new shoreline data that spans 2007 to
2009.  CZM is hosting the shoreline change workshops to present the new and historic digital shorelines, demonstrate how to explore the shorelines and rates of change in MORIS (CZM’s web-based coastal mapping tool), and discuss the application of the data to coastal decision making.  Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop for the MORIS demonstration.
