[SEMCO] Whales, Sharks and Sanctuary Research Highlight Upcoming Educator Conference on Sept 29

Attention Teachers (K-12), Homeschool Instructors, Informal Educators 
and others interested in marine studies --

The Boston Harbor Educators Conference is coming -- Saturday, Sept. 29.  
This year the theme is "Celebrating 20 Years of Discovery: New England's 
National Marine Sanctuary -- Stellwagen Bank."  The conference will 
include keynote presentations by celebrated author Deborah Cramer and 
Massachusetts shark expert Greg Skomal.

The morning program will include several strands of research talks -- 
ranging from whale acoustics to shipwreck investigations.  The afternoon 
offers a wide range of workshops that reach all grade levels.  Many of 
these sessions offer opportunities for interdisciplinary education, 
including art, language arts, history, and science.
