Members /$5; Non-members/$7. Reservations are required. Please speak with a

This informal and highly stimulating conversation is an extraordinary
opportunity to listen to two noted Cape Cod historians and authors on their
favorite subject, Brewster.

The historical novelist Sally Gunning traces her roots back 300 years in
Brewster. As she once commented, "The Cape literally is a part of me.'' She
sets her books Widow's War, Bound, and, in part, The Rebellion of Jane
Clarke in the town's busy 18th century environment with its teeming business
center, mills and tannery.

Dr. Fred Dunford is the resident archaeologist of the Cape Cod Museum of
Natural History. His book, Secrets in the Sand: Archaeology On Cape Cod And
The Islands written with Greg O'Brien, introduces the reader to a century of
archaeology on Cape Cod and nearly 9,000 years of findings on Wing Island
behind the Museum that illustrate prehistoric Cape Cod in this area before
European settlement.

Be sure to register for this memorable conversation that will deepen your
understanding of the cultural beginnings and development of this very
special environment.
