Searching Sandy Neck For Wildlife: From Ospreys and Piping Plovers to Diamondback Terrapin Turtles

Walk along the salt marsh, dunes and beach seeking signs of wildlife from wading shorebirds to mammal tracks to swooping swallows. Every day is filled with activity and wonder at Sandy Neck barrier beach as creatures struggle to raise young and find food during the short warm season.

Tuesdays, 9 am - 11 am from May 22nd to September 11th
Meet At Sandy Neck Beach off 6A in W. Barnstable
Adult Members $6, nonmembers $8, $4 and $6 for children

Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary is located on the north side of Rt 6a in Barnstable.  Trails are open daily dawn to dusk.  Sanctuary admission is free for members; $4 adults, $3 children for non-members. Call (508) 362-7475 for information.
