Power Squadron offers
Paddling Seminar and Tour 
Buzzards Bay Sail and Power Squadron will present a Paddle Smart seminar from 9:15 to11:45 AM, and a Kayaking tour led
by Cape Cod Kayak for
recreational paddlers from 12:30 to 3:30 PM, both on Saturday June 9th beginning
at the Bourne Library, 19 Sandwich Road
Bourne.


The morning seminar is intended for those about to
begin kayaking or canoeing, those who want refreshers on safety and trip planning, and those considering purchasing paddling equipment.
Topics will include terminology, equipment, safety, day-trip planning and
touring considerations. Seminar includes a copy of The Complete Sea Kayaker's Handbook by Shelley Johnson. The Paddle Smart family seminar fee is $44 for a family
sharing materials. Those choosing not to purchase materials may pay a fee of
$10 per person.


In the afternoon gear
up at Cape Cod Kayak and practice what you learned while paddling beautiful
Buzzards Bay with Anne-Marie Runfola, kayak guide and environmental educator. Touring fee is $40 for people who need kayaks (equipment
provided: Kayaks, PFDs, paddles and safety gear) and $25 for those who bring
their own. Basic instruction provided to all as needed. Pre-registration
