On Thursday, April 26 at 7:30 pm the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History will
present Joshua Delaney, speaking on his newly-released work of historical
fiction, Pieces of Eight:

Piracy, Witchcraft & the Great Spirit of Colonial Cape Cod. Admission is
free to the public.

Pieces of Eight is set in the rich landscape of colonial Cape Cod. Although
the pirate Sam Bellamy, captain of the ill-fated Whydah, prominently figures
in the narrative, the fascinating stories of the earliest settlers of
Eastham - the Doaneses, Halletts, Knowleses, Paines, Treats, Freemans,
Hopkins and other familiar names - form the basis of this accurately
researched and wonderfully readable narrative.

Joshua will speak about the characters, their moral and religious beliefs
and their daily lives in the villages of 18th century Cape Cod. He has the
rare talent of putting the reader into the time and the place of this
fascinating period of Cape Cod history.

Join us for this special presentation.
