Gardening for Birds and Butterflies

Learn how to choose plants that look great in your backyard while
providing shelter and food for birds and butterflies. Trees, shrubs,
perennials, and herbs can all play a part in attracting these beautiful
creatures to your domain. Master gardener Anne Firth will discuss both
the general reasons for using these plants, the specific sun and shade
needs of each plant, and why birds and butterflies are attracted to
certain plants. Plenty of time will be allowed for question and answer
in this large lecture format.

Saturday, March 24, 10 am - Noon

$27 M/ $29 NM

Basics of Garden Design

In this two-hour small group workshop, master gardener Anne Firth will
teach you basic garden design techniques with a focus on planning and
planting for birds and butterflies. Learn from a pro how to evaluate
your site, create a plan for your layout on paper, and execute your
design in your own backyard. Space is limited to 20 participants.

Saturday, March 31, 10 am - Noon

$34 M/ $36 NM

Garden Design Workshop
This is your chance to bring in a garden design that you've created
along with a few photos of your garden as it currently exists. Master
gardener Anne Firth will speak with each participant in turn about their

and learn from the process. Space is limited to 15 participants.
