[SEMCO] Marine Animal Discovery Workshop at National Marine Life Center

Dive into the world of marine animal biology and conservation this summer as
you spend a week getting to know your favorite seafaring species! Learn how
wildlife rehabilitation experts at the National Marine Life Center tend
turtles, study seals, and doctor dolphins. You'll also learn about sharks
and tide pool animals. Spend each day discovering a different marine animal
or exploring an aquatic ecosystem and participate in exciting indoor and
outdoor activities.
Ages
9-13 years (grades 4-7)
Time
9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. daily
2012 Dates
Session 1 (5 days): June 25, 26, 27, 28, 29
Session 2 (4 days): July 2, 3, 5, 6
Session 3 (5 days): July 30, 31, August 1, 2, 3
Note: Program repeats each session. Minimum 5 children required to run
session.
Cost:
5-day workshop: $150/NMLC members, $199/non-members
4-day workshop: $120/NMLC members, $159/non-members

Additional Notes:
~ Programs take place at NMLC, 120 Main Street, Buzzards Bay, MA.
~ There is no exposure to live seals, sea turtles, or dolphins.
~ Students may spend part of each day outdoors and should come prepared with
appropriate clothing including layers and sunscreen.
~ Students must bring their own lunch. Snacks and water provided.
