Snakes of New England and the World: Live Animal Presentation

[cid:image002.jpg at 01CD5EA0.224507A0]The Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve's Evenings on the Bluff Series begins with a live animal program entitled Snakes of New England and the World on Tuesday, July 10 at 6:30PM overlooking beautiful Waquoit Bay.

Do you wonder what kind of snakes might be living in the woods near your house? Have you ever caught a glimpse of a snake just as it disappeared into some shrubs and wished for a closer look?  Here is your chance to see native and exotic snakes close up. Rick Roth, local snake expert and Director of the Cape Ann Vernal Pond Team, will share some of his favorite snakes and talk about their lives and habits.
Each Tuesday evening in July a different program will be offered. The Reserve's headquarters is located at 149 Waquoit Highway (Route 28) on the bluff overlooking Waquoit Bay. Visitors are encouraged to bring a chair, beach blanket and a picnic dinner and enjoy the view. There is no charge for the program, donations are welcome. In the event of rain, the program will be held under our tent or indoors.

This program is co-sponsored by the MA Department of Conservation and Recreation. Assistive listening devices are available for all of our programs. We will also be happy to request a sign language interpreter with advance notice.  For additional information please call 508-457-0495 x108.
