      A Bird is More than a Word
           
        
     
       
     
     Come explore the world of birds.  This workshop will provide educators with background science information, activities for the classroom and literature tie-ins. Geared primarily toward Grades PreK-4 but other levels welcome. Participants will receive 10 Professional Development Points upon completion of the program.

             

            Workshop Leader: Mary Beers, M.Ed.

            Mary is the Education Director for the Thornton Burgess

            Society and has been a Teacher/Naturalist for 25 years.
           
        
     
     WORKSHOP FEE:  $75

            WORKSHOP LOCATION: Green Briar Nature Center's Putnam Science Building

            6 Discovery Hill Road, East Sandwich, MA 02537

             

            Pre-registration is required.  508-888-6870
