Cape Cod Natural History Conference - March 10
Now in its 17th year, the Cape Cod Natural History Conference features
presenters from environmental organizations across Cape Cod speaking on
a diversity of natural history topics. Both oral and poster
presentations will highlight local research projects, conservation
efforts, and local environmental organizations and allow participants
the opportunity to engage with the presenters. This year's topics and
speakers include:
The State of the Birds by Mass Audubon's Joan Walsh
Dolphin strandings by IFAW's CT Harry
Spadefoot toad restoration by Ian Ives, Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary
Eel grass monitoring by Diane Murphy, Cape Cod Cooperative Extenstion
Status of New England cottontails by John Kelley and Annie Curtis, Camp
Edwards
Common eider mortality on Cape Cod by SEANET's Sarah Courchesne
These are just a few of the many subjects presented on at this year's
Cape Cod Natural History Conference scheduled for Saturday, March 10,
2012.
The event is held at the Cape Cod Community College. It is organized by
Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary and supported by Cape Cod Five Cents
Savings Bank and the Bird Watcher's General Store.
Cost is $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
