Sensory Adventure at South Cape Beach - all ages April 17th, 9:30 to 11:00AM Meet at South Cape Beach, Mashpee town lot
Enhance your outdoor experiences by using all five senses; sight, sound, touch, smell and taste. We$B!G(Bll hike along the marsh trail using all of our senses to explore.
Birding for Kids - all ages April 19th, 9:30 to 11:00 AM Meet at Reserve Visitor Center
Discover characteristics and behaviors of birds that will help to identify some commonly seen birds as we practice using binoculars and guides.
Kids Create- The Art of Shorebird Decoys - ages 8- 12 April 19th 1:00 -2:30 PM Meet at Reserve Visitor Center

Children will select, sand and paint wooden decoys as they learn about the adaptations and challenges faced by local shorebird species. Students discover how decoys were used in the past and new ways that researchers utilize them today.
Storywalk(tm)- Follow a trail and read $B!H(BThe Seaside Switch$B!I(B by Kudlinski to learn about the tides
Tuesday through Friday - 9 AM to 5:00PM - Self guided activity
Join DCR$B!G(Bs Step Into Spring StoryWalk(r) Series during April School Vacation Week. Walk a trail,
read a story, use your senses and connect with your surroundings. Enjoy this unique
opportunity to bring the joy of nature and the magic of reading together outdoors! Seven trails
state$B!>(Bwide will feature a specially selected children$B!G(Bs storybook. The print, illustrations and
setting reveal opportunities to learn, read, discover and imagine together on the trail. The
Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) would like to acknowledge
and thank The StoryWalk(r) Project created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in
collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg$B!>(BHubbard Library
for their work and inspiration.
