Mass Audubon's Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary invites you to get
spooky with us this Halloween weekend.
Please note that pre-registration is required for all events.
Friday, October 28
Haunted Forest, 6 - 8 p.m.
Explore our forest after dark and learn all about the creatures of the
night. Some are real and some are just a scary part of your imagination.
Wear your costume so you won't be recognized by the things that go bump
in the night! Refreshments and games will round out your evening. Guided
walks leave every 15 minutes.
Recommended for children ages 6-12 but kids of all ages are welcome.

Saturday, October 29
Going Batty!, 10 - 11 a.m.
Explore the nighttime world of the mysterious bat in the daytime. This
family program features stories, games, and crafts and is the perfect
way to get in the spirit of the holiday! Best for ages 4-12.
Adults $3.00m/ $5.00nm, Children $3.00m/ $5.00nm
Fantasy and Folklore Walk, 10:30 a.m. - Noon
On the verge of All Hallow's Eve, take a walk through the woods with us
as we share stories of local haunted happenings. Relive the legend of
Goody Hallett and Captain Bellamy, and learn about the Cape's other
ghostly inhabitants and strange creatures. Adults and teens only.
Adults $5.00m/ $7.00nm, Children, age 11 and up $3.00m/ $5.00nm
Bats!, 6 - 8 p.m.
Come hear about these mysterious and misunderstood denizens of the dark.
We'll dispel common bat myths, talk about the species we have on the
Cape, summarize the bat research we've done at the sanctuary, and
provide the latest info on the frightening population declines caused by
white nose syndrome. Weather permitting, we'll set up our bat detector
and hopefully record and identify some bats right here on the property.
