Presentation by Kara Dodge, PhD candidate at UNH and Large Pelagics
Research Center
Saturday, October 8, 2 p.m.
Held at the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary
Mysteries of the deep will be revealed on Saturday, October 8 when Kara
Dodge will talk about her research tracking leatherback sea turtles.
Dodge, with a team of local scientists, fishermen, and a spotter pilot,
placed satellite tags on 20 leatherbacks, allowing her to follow the
turtles' spectacular long-distance migration from Cape Cod to the
tropics and learn about their regional movements and habitat use.
Cost is $5 for Mass Audubon members and $7 for non-members, $2 less for
children 11-17. Pre-registration is required. Drop-ins welcome, space
