Waquoit Bay Reserve and Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation is offering a free workshop ideal for hikers, boaters, kayakers and others.

Seek and Find with GPS

Learn the basic functions and use of GPS (Global Positioning System) then use your skills to seek and find a geocache hidden somewhere at the Reserve. Indoors, participants will learn how to plot a waypoint on the map, enter a waypoint into the GPS, create a route, and be introduced to the popular activity, Geocaching. Outside, we will put all of these new skills to work in the field. Come prepared for the weather. Participants should bring their own handheld GPS equipment with the owner's manual or we do have a small number of units to loan.

Pre-registration required.
