   On July 6 at 7:30 pm the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History welcomes the
return of well-known author David Gessner, who will speak on his new book My
Green Manifesto

$5/member, $7/non-member.

   David is the author of six books, including Soaring with Fidel (2008),
Sick of Nature (2005), The Prophet of Dry Hill (2005), and Return of the
Osprey (2002), that was chosen by the Boston Globe as one of the top ten
nonfiction books of the year. 

   With topics spanning the Cape Wind Project to the Monkey Wrench Gang,
David considers why we do or do not fight to protect and restore wilderness,
and reminds us why it's time to join the fray. 

   As noted in My Green Manifesto, "A trip down the Charles River with my
cry for a new, wilder (and funnier) environmentalism argues instead for a
movement focused on local issues and grounded in a more basic, holistic-and
ultimately more effective-defense of home."
