Assistant Directors for the Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management (CZM)
CZM is pleased to announce two job postings for important positions within the CZM management team. The two Assistant Director positions will assist in the overall management and administration of the agency and work with the Director on strategic planning and policy review/development and oversight/direction on two general groupings of CZM functions. The CZM Assistant Director for Community Services<https://jobs.hrd.state.ma.us/recruit/public/31100001/job/job_view.do?postingId=J28254&code=search.public&federalStimulus=no> will oversee agency program areas related to: municipal technical assistance; coastal hazards assessment, planning, and management; the development of sound adaptation measures to reduce vulnerability to increased risks from effects of climate change; and project review. The CZM Assistant Director for Ocean Planning and Sciences Services<https://jobs.hrd.state.ma.us/recruit/public/31100001/job/job_view.do?postingId=J28256&code=search.public&federalStimulus=no> will oversee agency program areas related to: the implementation and evolution of the Massachusetts Ocean Management Plan; regional ocean planning in state and federal waters pursuant to the National Ocean Policy; coastal and ocean habitat assessment, management, planning, and policy; and Geographic Information System (GIS)/data management. Applications for both positions are due by December 23.
