It's back to school time! We hope you and your preschooler will join us for our Small Fries adventures this fall at the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary.
Small Fries is a Mommy & Me style class for kids ages 2-5 and their favorite adult. Through hands-on explorations, cooperative games, imaginative role plays, stories, songs, and crafts, students will develop age-appropriate cognitive, motor, and social skills. Each class is designed to explore a specific nature and/or science topic related to the wildlife and habitats found at the sanctuary and on the Outer Cape.
When: We offer two class times each week: Wednesdays, 10-11 a.m. for ages 2 and 3, and Fridays, 10-11 a.m. for ages 2 through 5. The topic will be the same for both classes each week; in the Friday class, which admits older kids, the activities will be slightly more advanced. Every week there will be a new topic!
Classes begin the week after Labor Day (September 7 and 9) and continue on a weekly basis throughout the fall.
Session 1: What Dwells in Shells - Wed., September 7-28; Fri., September 9-30
Session 2: Fin-tastic Fish - Wed., October 5-26; Fri., October 7-28.
