COASTSWEEP
 *CLEANING UP LONG POINT*

The Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies, a leader in marine and coastal
research and education for thirty-five years, invites volunteers to
participate in a beach cleanup of Long Point in Provincetown at 10 a.m. on
Saturday, September 25th.

PCCS will lead volunteers as part of COASTSWEEP, the state-wide beach
cleanup sponsored by CZM and the Urban Harbors Institute at UMass Boston.

Marine debris is a serious problem facing our oceans and coasts. It
degrades coastal and marine vistas, harms wildlife, introduces toxins and
chemicals into our water, destroys habitats and can directly affect human
health.

Meet in front of the PCCS kiosk on MacMillan Pier in Provincetown. Flyer's
Boat Rental Provincetown will shuttle volunteers free of charge to and from
Long Point and Napi's restaurant will provide lunch to all participants
immediately following the cleanup.

Please register by calling Jesse Mechling at 508.487.3623, ext.103;
jmechling at coastalstudies.org.
