[SEMCO] Summer Position at Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary

Mass Audubon's Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary is seeking an educator
for the summer:

Location: Barnstable, MA

Long Pasture is seeking a lead teacher for its Wild Arts and Ecology
Program in which elementary school students spend three mornings
actively involved in field science and two mornings engaged in art
projects that complement their ecological explorations. Each week
focuses on a different habitat or theme. Program has indoor and outdoor
components. Curriculum materials are available, but the educator will
also have opportunity to teach topics of personal interest or
experience. Duration of position is nine weeks during summer 2010 (25
hours per week).

Qualifications: Candidates should have teaching experience with children
ages 6 - 10 and natural history or biology background as well as
experience teaching art. Experience as summer camp councilor a plus.
Enthusiasm, humor and ability to lead outdoor activities are essential.
Teachers on summer vacation are encouraged to apply. 

Benefits: $15.00 per hour.

Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary is located on the north side of Rt 6a in
Barnstable.  Trails are open daily dawn to dusk.  Sanctuary admission is
free for members; $4 adults, $3 children for non-members. Call (508)
