Renewable Energy for Your Cape Cod Home

Tuesday, February 23, 7-9 pm, Waquoit Bay Reserve Visitor Center

Have you been thinking about installing renewable energy on your own home but don't know where to start? This program is designed for homeowners who are beginning to explore their options and want to know more about the possibilities for wind, solar hot water, solar electricity, and bioheat, and whether any other renewable energy options are viable for Cape Cod. Find out the advantages and disadvantages of different types, how to locate and work with an installer, and what incentives are currently available in Massachusetts. Do you know the biggest mistake that homeowners make when installing renewable energy?. Megan Amsler, Director of Cape and Islands Self-Reliance and instructor for the Renewable Energy class at Cape Cod Community College is the presenter for this program. Co-sponsored by Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, Cape and Islands Renewable Energy Collaborative, and Cape and Islands Self-Reliance.
