Actively Ring out the Old Year with Annual Walk at Wellfleet Bay
Wildlife Sanctuary! 


 

South Wellfleet, MA. - Bundle up and head outside to celebrate the end
of the year with a fun hike offered by Mass Audubon's Wellfleet Bay
Wildlife Sanctuary. The annual "End of the Year Hike" will be held
Friday, December 31 at 2:30 pm. This guided leisurely walk along the
Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary's scenic Goose Pond Trail follows salt
marsh, skirts a freshwater pond, winds through pinewoods, and offers
beautiful views. Following the walk, participants will return to the
warmth of the sanctuary's nature center and be treated to warm drinks,
cider, and homemade desserts. 

 

The walk is held at the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary in South
Wellfleet. Registration is NOT required for the walk-just show up and
dress warmly! However, there is a fee of $8 for members of Mass Audubon
and $10 for non-members. Call the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary at

The Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary is located on the west side of
Route 6, immediately north of the Eastham/Wellfleet town line.  Trails
are open daily 8 am to dusk.  Call (508) 349-2615 for information.
