[SEMCO] Teachers on the Estuary summer course- correction

Just a quick correction- the follow up session is November 20 not 2 (corrected below). And, yesterday we were informed we had a glitch with our registration system that said this class was full although we had just opened registration. We are currently accepting applications.

A National Estuarine Research Reserve System program

Field and research-based professional development course
integrating content, methods, and activities on

Watersheds and Estuaries

Offered at
Waquoit Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, Falmouth, MA
July 12 - 15 plus follow up session November 20, 2010

*       Designed for teachers of grades 9-12, others welcome to apply
*       Aligned with state and national frameworks
*       Work with local scientists and marine educators
*       Explore coastal habitats and carry out field studies
*       Learn how to use real data and guide student investigations
*       Get ideas and support for student stewardship projects

This course is supported by NOAA's Bay-Watershed Education and Training
(B-WET) Program. The course is free to participants but space is limited so application is required by April 30.*

Lodging and food will be provided. Teachers will be awarded $200 implementation mini-grants, $150 worth of equipment, and $100 stipends upon successful completion of course.

2 graduate credits available from Framingham College for $130.
