Farm Day 2009

Preserving  the Past - Sustaining the Future

Saturday, October 24th, 10 am - 4pm

 

Ø  Meet local Cape Codders who are sustainably producing food and goods

Ø  Get to know fiber animals

Ø  Observe spinning and cider-making

Ø  Get "flushed" down a model toilet

Ø  Learn about organic farming, fish, lobsters,  chickens and more

Ø  Discover the secrets of beekeeping

Ø  And don't forget about Goat Chip Bingo with our resident goats!

Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary is located on the north side of Rt 6a in Barnstable.  Trails are open daily dawn to dusk.  Sanctuary admission is free for members; $4 adults, $3 children for non-members. Call (508) 362-7475 for information.
