Seabird and Whale Tale Excursion

Sunday, June 14, 2009

8 am to 4 pm

Join us for an all day, exciting wildlife cruise to support marine
education and wildlife conservation. The New England Coastal
Wildlife Alliance (NECWA) is a volunteer, non-profit organization
that works in southeastern MA. All proceeds from our Seabird & Whale
Tales excursions support a variety of programs and activities
including NEBShark (a community sighting network for basking sharks
and ocean sunfish) and a marine wildlife internship program. Our
Seabird & Whale Tale excursions are run with assistance from Mass
Audubon South Shore Sanctuaries, Captain John Boats and Bridgewater
State College.

Our onboard wildlife experts will include Wayne Petersen of
Massachusetts Audubon Society, Jim Sweeney of South Shore Bird Club
and Joanne Jarzobski of Captain John Boats. Enjoy their guided
commentary as we head offshore to view seabirds, seals, whales,
dolphins, basking sharks and ocean sunfish off the New England
coast. Travel aboard the “Tails of the Sea”, a 110’ luxury
commercial whale watching vessel owned and operated by Captain John
Boats of Plymouth, MA (www.captjohn.com).

Leave from the Plymouth Town Pier at 8 am and return by 4 pm. The
trip includes our guided commentary, plankton tow and demonstrations,
chumming for seabirds and our free onboard raffle.

Tickets: Pre-Sale $90 and then $100 after May 31, 2009. To learn more
about this trip or to download the registration form, go to http://
www.necwa.org/trips.html. Or for more information, call Krill Carson
at 508-946-4345. Space is limited so register early and we do offer a
group rate.

NECWA is a registered 501(c) 3 non-profit organization.

Thank you, Carol “Krill” Carson
