Seasonal, part-time environmental educator

 

 

The Marion Natural History Museum is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic environmental educator who is familiar with both coastal and freshwater ecosystems to lead a summer "Coastal Explorations" program.  This program features explorations of rocky intertidal shoreline, salt marshes, estuaries as well as freshwater riverbanks, bogs, swamps and ponds.  Must be knowlegable about local plant and animal life - but most importantly - must be fun to be around. Each lead teacher will have an assistant, and programs are for children in 3rd and 4th grades, and are limited to 15 children each program.  Dates of program are July 6th - 17th and  August 3rd - 14th,(subject to filling program), and hours are 9 - 12 Monday thru Friday.
