CANOEING ON MASHPEE RIVER

Late day on a rising tide is a perfect time to explore the wonders of the
Mashpee River by canoe. Adults may join Thornton W. Burgess Society
naturalists on a paddle up river to look for Black-crowned Night Heron,
Osprey, Great Blue Heron and Snowy Egret on Tuesday, July 14. Pack a food
item to share for a river side potluck supper. Bring binoculars and bug
repellent. Meet and depart from the Green Briar Nature Center in East
Sandwich at 5:00pm and return by 8:00pm. Canoes and life jackets are
provided. The fee is $20 for Society members, $25 for non-members. Call
508-888-6870 for registration details.
